Jamie Foster

Hello! My name is Jamie Foster, and I am honored to be the new Principal at Thompson Elementary.

Thank you for entrusting me with your child and please know that we, as a staff, believe in doing whatever it takes for our Thompson Cougars. We adhere to our character traits as we guide our Cougars to be leaders that are respectful, caring, determined, and problem solvers. I look forward to seeing how our students grow in the upcoming year!

I have been blessed to serve my entire educational career within Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD, including eleven years as a teacher at Farmers Branch Elementary. As an administrator, I have served as an assistant principal at Rosemeade, McLaughlin-Strickland, Riverchase and Central Elementary schools.

North Texas has been my home since childhood, and that includes attending colleges here by gaining a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a Master’s degree in Educational leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.

In my spare time you might find me spending time with my husband Eric and our two terrific kids, Kaitlyn and Ethan. We love to play board games, go camping and experiment with new foods.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you need anything at all. I can’t wait to meet all of our families here at Thompson.
