COUGAR GRANT NEWS!

COUGAR GRANT NEWS!

We are so proud to celebrate two of our amazing Thompson educators for securing THREE grants totaling $2,600 to directly support our students!

Mrs. Hollett – 5th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Hollett received a $975 grant that will help cover the cost of our 5th graders’ field trip to Kidzania! Students will step into a kid-run indoor city where they can explore real-world careers through hands-on experiences. This exciting opportunity helps students connect learning to future careers and directly supports our CCMR goals as an AVID campus!

Mrs. Wiggins – Librarian
Mrs. Wiggins secured TWO grants totaling $1,625 for our library!

$500 Grant – 3D Printer
This new 3D printer will open the door to hands-on learning for our students, support lessons with older grades, provide reading incentives, and create manipulatives and resources that can be used by teachers across our campus!

$1,125 Grant – Wonderbooks
Wonderbooks combine a physical book with built-in audio! Students can plug in their headphones and listen while they read, creating another engaging way to build reading skills, fluency, and a love for books.

These grants are more than just funding—they are creating new experiences, new opportunities, and new ways for our Cougars to learn and grow!

Congratulations, Mrs. Hollett and Mrs. Wiggins! We are so grateful for the work you do to make learning bigger, brighter, and more meaningful for our students!

That’s The Thompson Way!
